Vol. 510 No. 6

Written Answers. - Domicilary Care Allowance.

Question:

268 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24 has not received a domicilary care allowance given the fact that he suffers from a mild form of haemophilia; the reason his Department took nine months to fully determine this application; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23492/99]

The assessment of entitlement to a domiciliary care allowance in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, I have referred the Deputy's question to the chief executive officer, Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the query and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
