Vol. 511 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Ivan Yates

Question:

71 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will have his eligibility for special beef premium payment and deseasonalisation slaughter premium payments for 1999 revised in view of the fact that he was not aware of the circumstances whereby the Department resubmitted his application and in view of this conformed with the original application and should be entitled to payment. [23913/99]

The person named applied for special beef premium in respect of 16 animals on 7 January 1999

A query arose in relation to the date of receipt of the application. From new information supplied, this has now been resolved. One animal was ineligible for premium on the grounds of age. Therefore, payment will issue shortly in respect of 15 animals.

The person named applied for and was paid deseasonalisation slaughter premium in respect of 14 animals. Final payment issued to him on 27 May 1999.
