Vol. 511 No. 2

Written Answers. - Personal Assistance Service.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

89 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children if a personal assistant will be provided for a person (details supplied) in County Kildare who attends the local national school and has special needs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23976/99]

The provision of personal assistance services in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the query and reply directly to the Deputy, as a matter of urgency.
