Vol. 511 No. 5

Written Answers. - Tax Reliefs.

Joe Higgins

Question:

71 Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for Finance if he will make provision in relation to moneys to be foregone by persons participating in the children's hour initiative that such tax as would normally accrue to the Exchequer will also be donated to the initiative. [24825/99]

I have received a number of pre-budget submissions in respect of tax relief for personal donations to charities.

As is the case with all pre-budget submissions I can assure the Deputy that the matters raised will be borne in mind in the preparation of the forthcoming budget.
