329 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if the route for the proposed motorway from Kinnegad to Athlone in County Westmeath has been finalised; if not, the present planning position of this motorway; and if he will make a statement on the timescale for the commencement and completion of this project. The NDP sets out a strategic framework for the development of the national roads network over the coming seven years. It is a matter for the NRA within this framework to promote the more detailed programming of the work required and to manage, in co-operation with local authorities, the planning, design and implementation of individual road development projects including the Kinnegad-Athlone section of the N6.
