Vol. 511 No. 6

Written Answers. - School Accommodation.

Billy Timmins

Question:

396 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received an application from County Wicklow VEC for an extension and additional car parking for St. Thomas's school, Bray, County Wicklow; and, if so, the position of this application. [25200/99]

I can confirm that my Department's planning and building unit has received an application from County Wicklow VEC for an extension to St. Thomas's school, Bray, County Wicklow to cater for post leaving certificate courses. The question of providing additional car parking will be examined as part of this application.

The current position is that the school's enrolments are being evaluated to establish the exact accommodation requirements.

Officials from the planning and building unit will be in contact with County Wicklow VEC when this process has been completed.
