Written Answers - Waste Disposal.
While annual figures are not available, the national waste database indicates that 648 tonnes of plastic waste arising in the municipal and non-hazardous industrial waste streams were recycled in 1995. It is understood that the Environmental Protection Agency will shortly publish an updated national waste database containing equivalent data for 1998.
