308 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when, having regard to the reply to Parliamentary Question No. 232 of 30 November 1999, he proposes to amend the parking regulations to change the descriptions of parking signs for disabled drivers; the timescale for proposed changes; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I refer to the reply to Question No. 322 of 30 November 1999.

While there is no proposal at present to amend parking regulations in the manner referred to, I will, as stated, have regard to any advice in this connection from my colleague, the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, or from the various voluntary agencies and interests concerned.
