Vol. 512 No. 7

Written Answers. - Trivax Vaccine.

Denis Naughten

Question:

162 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children the records, if any, which are in the possession of the Irish Medicines Board relating to adverse reactions to the trivax vaccine; the lot and batch numbers involved; the years in which they were administered; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27284/99]

I am informed by the Irish Medicines Board that the records in relation to suspected adverse reactions for the period concerned are archived and that consequently it will take some time to access and examine them. I have requested the Irish Medicines Board to examine the records and I will write to the Deputy as soon as I have received a report in the matter.
