Vol. 512 No. 7

Written Answers. - Staff Shortages.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

166 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if critical staff shortages, including nurses and attendants, at Brú Caoimhín, Cork Street, Dublin 8, will be addressed in view of the fact that the facility is operating at dangerously low levels; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27290/99]

Responsibility for staffing levels at Bru Caomhín is a matter, in the first instance, for the Eastern Health Board.

I have asked the board for a report on the matter, as a matter of urgency, and I will write to the Deputy as soon as this is received.
