116 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will grant a special release from Cork prison to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare in order to facilitate a job interview with Kildare County Council; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [27480/99]

The Governor of Cork prison has informed me that no such application has been received to date from the person referred to by the Deputy. If the person concerned does apply for temporary release to facilitate a job interview his application will be given every consideration.
