Vol. 512 No. 8

Written Answers. - School Transport.

Richard Bruton

Question:

130 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the huge problems which a school (details supplied) in Dublin 9 has had with school transport; and if he will mediate a satisfactory resolution of the problem with the range of transport providers involved. [27343/99]

The management authority of the school in question has not contacted my Department regarding difficulties in relation to school transport.

The position generally is that organisation of the public scheduled services in the Dublin area is operated by Bus Átha Cliath and is not under my Department's remit. My Department has referred the Deputys concerns to Bus Átha Cliath and requested that they reply to him directly.
