447 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children when he will give approval to the Southern Health Board to purchase a site for the new district hospital in Dingle, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1369/00]

Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Cowen):

Approval has recently been conveyed to the Southern Health Board to seek and purchase a site at Dingle, County Kerry, on which a replacement for the old district hospital could be constructed.
