290 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the amount of money available for the recreation amenity grant scheme for 2000; the closing date for receipt of valid applications; and when the allocations will be made. [2270/00]
The provision in the 2000 Estimates for expenditure under the sports capital programme in the current year is £15.2 million. The closing date for the receipt of application forms under the programme is 5 p.m. on Friday 11 February 2000. Until all applications have been received in my Department, I will not be in a position to indicate when the grant allocations will be made.
