Question:297 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide temporary accommodation, by way of a portacabin, to a playgroup (details supplied) in County Mayo which has no premises. [2250/00]

I regret to inform the Deputy that my Department is not in a position to provide capital funding for the provision of facilities for playgroups. I would suggest as a possible solution that the group approach the management authorities of the local schools to ascertain if spare accommodation is available for this purpose.
