Vol. 513 No. 3

Written Answers. - Northern Ireland Issues.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

133 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the location of the headquarters of all cross-Border bodies being established as a result of the Northern Ireland peace process; and if County Donegal is being considered as a suitable location. [1469/00]

Decisions on the locations of the six North-South Implementation Bodies were taken jointly with our Northern ministerial colleagues at the inaugural plenary meeting of the North-South Ministerial Council in Armagh on 13 December 1999.

I have forwarded for the Deputy's information a copy of the joint communiqué issued at that meeting, which indicates that a regional office of the Ullans agency of the North-South Language Body be located in County Donegal.
