170 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development if a cow suckler quota will be allocated to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick in view of the fact he had to purchase a suckler quota for three animals in 1999; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2466/00]

There is no record in my Department of having received an application for an allocation of suckler cow quota from the year 2000 national reserve from the person named.

The closing date for receiving applications was 23 December 1999 and I regret that an application may not be accepted at this stage.
