Ahearn asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he received requests from any organisations, bodies or local authorities for funding towards acquiring Silversprings House, Clonmel, County Tipperary, former home of Charles Bianconi; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department does not, in the ordinary course of events, make grants available for the acquisition of historic buildings and no such requests have been received in respect of Silversprings House.
