Vol. 514 No. 1

Written Answers. - River Maintenance.

Ulick Burke

Question:

166 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Finance the plans, if any, he has to carry out regular maintenance on the Cloonlyon River, Ballygar, County Galway, in the River Suck valley in view of the fact this area is seriously flooded. [3659/00]

The Cloonlyon river forms part of the Suck drainage district and the responsibility for its maintenance rests with the river Suck joint drainage district committee which is funded by Galway and Roscommon county councils.
