Vol. 514 No. 6

Written Answers. - Driving Instructor Register.

Denis Naughten

Question:

242 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 161 of 16 February 2000 in relation to the driving instructor register, he has satisfied himself as to the veracity of the information supplied to fulfil conditions set by his Department to demonstrate a wide acceptance of the scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5286/00]

I refer to the reply to Question No. 161 of 16 February 2000.

The information provided to my Department by the driving instructor register included certified annual accounts from the register's accountants and was considered satisfactory by my Department in demonstrating compliance with the conditions for grant assistance fixed by the Department.
