117 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Defence the consultancies, work groups and specialist groups employed for carrying out studies in his Department; when these groups were established; when their reports are expected; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5784/00]

With regard to the review of the Reserve Defence Force, the steering group overseeing the military board review has completed its task and has furnished me with its draft report which I am considering at present.
In addition, consultants with appropriate expertise are engaged by the Department as necessary to provide technical services in connection with building, engineering and equipment projects for the Defence Forces.
