Question:

322 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will issue a progress report on the proposal to construct a new school for Scoil Eanna, Navan, County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5941/00]

The application from the management authorities of Scoil Eanna, Navan, is at an advanced stage of architectural planning and will continue to be dealt with as quickly as possible by my Department having regard to the large number of school building projects on hand within my Department.

323 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 278 of 1 June 1999, the planning and rebuilding unit has assessed the future accommodation requirements at Ratoath national school, County Meath; the proposals, if any, he has to prepare plans for an extension to the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5942/00]

The matter raised by the Deputy is being examined by my Department and will be dealt with as quickly as possible.
