John McGuinness
Question:103 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Defence the plans, if any, he has to refurbish the existing buildings in James Stephens Barracks, Kilkenny, in view of the status of the barracks as a headquarters; the amount of money spent on the barracks in the past three years, if he will embark on a building and refurbishment programme and decentralise part or all of his Department to Kilkenny in view of his commitment not to close the barracks; and if he has examined other users for the buildings, within the defence structure, to utilise the full site and potential of the barracks site.
