74 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Finance if the Office of Public Works intends to build a civic centre at Bunratty Road, Coolock, Dublin 17; if so, the funding, if any, which will be provided for this project; the individual who applied for this funding; when an announcement was made in relation to this funding; the individual officially informed of this funding; and if he will make a statement on the matter. It is the intention of the Office of Public Works to develop an integrated State and community social services centre at Bunratty Road, Coolock. The pre-tender cost for the centre is estimated at £5.484 million and sanction to this level of funding was conveyed, to the Office of Public Works, by the Department of Finance on 7 March 2000. Organisations involved in the centre, were advised of the availability of funding, for the project, on 14 March, at a public presentation of plans for the centre, in Coolock Public Library.
