Vol. 517 No. 1

Written Answers. - National Stadium.

Billy Timmins

Question:

83 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the plans, if any, she has to lodge an objection against the proposed national stadium in north County Dublin in view of the fact there may be concerns that the floodlighting could impact on air traffic; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [9055/00]

The national stadium project will have to go through the normal planning process and if there are any issues relating to the safety and efficiency of air traffic they will be raised by the Irish Aviation Authority, the body responsible for aviation safety.
