Vol. 517 No. 6

Written Answers. - Foreshore Licences.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

131 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the position regarding all applications for foreshore licences for the removal of sand and gravel from the seabed off Dunmore East, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10606/00]

The position in relation to all such applications is that they will be examined on their merits in accordance with established procedures. No such application has to date been granted. There is only one application on hands, the position in relation to which was set out in my reply to questions from Deputy Deasy on 10 February 2000.

No decision has been made to grant a licence in respect of that application.
