Vol. 518 No. 1

Written Answers. - National Museum.

Ivor Callely

Question:

157 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage Gaeltacht and the Islands the progress in completing and updating the inventory of artefacts in the National Museum's extensive collections; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [11137/00]

The Deputy will already be aware from my earlier replies on this subject that a programme of documenting and photographing the collections of the National Museum has been in place since 1995. To date this ongoing programme has led to over 60,000 items being so included in the inventory, an increase of over 10,000 since October 1999.
