Vol. 518 No. 4

Written Answers. - Post-Mortem Examinations.

Richard Bruton

Question:

176 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Health and Children if his attention has been drawn to the long waiting time for toxicology reports with regard to post-mortem examinations; if he will give details of the waiting time; and the plans, if any, he has to improve this situation. [11997/00]

Details of waiting times for toxicology reports on post mortem examinations are not routinely collected by my Department. I have therefore asked the regional chief executive officer of the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the chief executive officers of the other health boards to investigate this matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
