Written Answers. - Safety Requirements.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

276 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has carried out any further examination of the layout of entrance and buildings at St. Wolstan's second level school at Ballymakealy, Celbridge, County Kildare; if he has satisfied himself that adequate safety requirements can be and are being met at this location, having particular regard to the heavy volumes of vehicular traffic, the large number of students involved and the need to meet adequate safety standards; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12025/00]

The planning and building unit of my Department has commissioned a firm of consultants to undertake an analysis of the traffic management issues at this school.
