220 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will approve the application by the board of management of a school (details supplied) in County Kilkenny for the provision of an extension to include a sports hall, computer room and art room in view of the reasons outlined in its letter to his Department of 2 December 1999. An application for the provision of additional accommodation has been received from the managerial authorities of the school to which the Deputy refers.
To determine the amount of accommodation, if any, that the school may require, the planning unit of my Department has been requested to comment on the long-term projected enrolments for this school. This matter will be processed as quickly as possible and, when completed, will enable decisions to be taken regarding the amount of additional accommodation to be provided.
