Vol. 518 No. 6

Written Answers. - Rail Services.

Emmet Stagg

Question:

171 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Public Enterprise the procedures now in place, including the timeframe, to eliminate the unreasonable risks which remain to be fully resolved on the Maynooth suburban line identified under the rail safety implementation review; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [12772/00]

IRMS identified unreasonable risks on the Maynooth suburban line at Porterstown and Clonsilla in its review of rail safety in 1998. In the implementation review published earlier this year, IRMS identified a further unreasonable risk on this line at Maynooth. I have been advised by Iarnród Éireann that all of these risks are now fully resolved.
