504 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if the gardaí who discharged firearms at the scene of the siege (details supplied) have been transferred to unarmed duties pending the outcome of the inquiry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13038/00]

I am advised by the Garda authorities that the gardaí who discharged firearms at the scene in question have not been transferred to unarmed duties pending the outcome of the inquiry.
