Vol. 518 No. 6

Written Answers. - Bull Bars.

Charles Flanagan

Question:

505 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will have discussions with the Garda Commissioner on the dangers of mounted front bars or bull bars on police liveried motor vehicles; and if he considers them to be appropriate. [13112/00]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that bull bars, which were fitted as standard on certain four-wheeled drive vehicles purchased by the Garda Síochána, have been removed from all Garda liveried motor vehicles.
