569 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department has received the final proposal from the board of management of a school (details supplied) in County Cork regarding a proposed extension; and if so, if he will give immediate sanction for the works to proceed in order that the building would be available for occupation in September 2000. My Department recently advised the board of management of the school in question that it is in order to award a contract for the proposed extension. The commencement date is a matter to be agreed between the contractor and school management.
