Adjournment Debate Matters.

An Ceann Comhairle: I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given under Standing Order 21 and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Perry – the urgent need for the immediate appointment of a teacher in Achonry national school, County Sligo, due to the phenomenal increase in the numbers in the school catchment area; (2) Deputy Allen – the long delays in Cork with regard to in-patient admissions; (3) Deputy Upton – the urgent need for the Minister for Education and Science to address the shortfall in services for children with special needs; (4) Deputy Owen – the urgent need for a decision on the provision of additional accommodation in St. Patrick's senior school, Skerries, County Dublin; (5) Deputy Neville – the extension to Pallaskenry national school, County Limerick; (6) Deputy Timmins – the failure of the Government to address the increasing carnage on our roads; (7) Deputy Clune – the need for funding to be put in place to ensure the further development of Cork Airport; (8) Deputy Dukes – the reduction being imposed by the Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs in the reimbursement made to a private bus operator in connection with the operation of the free travel scheme on three routes in County Kildare and one route between Roscrea and Limerick; (9) Deputy Gormley – the urgent need to introduce a Defamation Bill; (10) Deputy Joe Higgins – the concern over a series of attacks on members of racial minorities in Dublin; (11) Deputy Broughan – the urgent need to publish the inspector's report on the special amenity area order for Howth and to confirm the Howth special amenity area order; (12) Deputy Finucane – the need to provide funding for Limerick County Council for the replacement of the roofs on 43 houses at Clenma Estate in Croom, County Limerick; (13) Deputy Fitzgerald – the urgent need to review driving test procedures in this country; (14) Deputy Breeda Moynihan-Cronin – the circumstances whereby a grant was reissued to a private concern in relation to the Caragh river, despite that fact that guarantees given by his predecessor were not fulfilled to the satisfaction of the local community.
The matters raised by Deputies Dukes, Gormley, Joe Higgins and Owen have been selected for discussion.
