Vol. 519 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Paul Connaughton

Question:

112 Mr. Connaughton asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a grant payment was not made to a person (details supplied) in County Galway in respect of three horses. [13179/00]

The person named listed three mare registration numbers on his 1999 equine headage application but one of these, mare registration number 1980688, was listed twice. During an inspection on his farm on 7 October 1999 he was advised by my Department that payment would be made on the two eligible mares. The person named was paid his full entitlement of £140 under the 1999 equine headage scheme on 20 December 1999.
