My Department has no plans to set up a repository of the nature referred to by the Deputy. However, I understand from the Health Research Board that it has received a proposal concerning an all-Ireland repository of biological samples in relation to rheumatoid arthritis. The proposal will be considered according to the normal competitive peer review procedure used by the Health Research Board in the allocation of funding for research.
