Vol. 519 No. 2

Written Answers. - Public Health Doctors.

Bernard Allen

Question:

209 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have investigations made into the reasons some public health doctors are waiting for almost two decades in temporary posts in health boards before they are being made permanent; and his views on the equity of this situation. [13584/00]

I am not aware of public health doctors waiting for almost two decades in temporary posts in health boards before they are being made permanent. If the Deputy has a specific incident in mind I am prepared to investigate same.
