Vol. 519 No. 2

Written Answers. - Roads Projects.

Liam Lawlor

Question:

254 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has received from the National Roads Authority the toll scheme for the M50 and second Liffey Valley bridge; and, if so, whether any objections have been lodged which would render it necessary to hold a public local inquiry. [13628/00]

The toll scheme in relation to the second Liffey Valley bridge was received in my Department from the National Roads Authority on 14 March 2000. The final date for written objections regarding the toll scheme was 26 April 2000. Three objections were received to the proposed toll scheme. A public local inquiry will commence on 20 June to consider all matters relating to the second Liffey Valley bridge motorway scheme, environmental impact statement and toll scheme.
