Vol. 519 No. 2

Written Answers. - Registration of Title.

Michael Ring

Question:

280 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a schedule in the Land Registry Office for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be completed in view of the fact the matter has been pending since November 1982. [13312/00]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that this application refers to a fiated purchase-agreement which was lodged on 10 October 1983.

I am further informed that land commission schedules are deemed to be registered as of the date of vesting which is prior to the date of lodgement of the documents in the land registry. Accordingly, registration in the land registry of land commission cases is afforded a lower priority than the registration of other dealings.
However, I can inform the Deputy that this application is now being expedited and should be completed within the next three weeks.

Question:

281 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a dealing (details supplied) in the Land Registry Office can be expedited. [13313/00]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that there is no application pending on folio 6988.

If the Deputy can let me have the dealing number, the date of lodgement and the name of the lodging party, I will have further inquiries made in the matter.
