315 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Education and Science if he intends to give recognition to any more private colleges for either the junior or senior cycle; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13433/00]

My Department is at present considering one application for the recognition of an existing private post-primary school in the Dublin area. I expect to be in a position to take a decision in this case in the near future.
