114 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reported crime figures for County Mayo for the first four months of 2000 using the new pulse system; and the comparative crime figures for County Mayo for each of the years 1995 to 1999. [13946/00]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the reported crime figures for the Garda division of Mayo for the first four months of the years 1995 to 1998 are as listed in the following table:

I understand that provisional statistics for the first four months of 1999 record 341 offences. This figure is, however, provisional, and subject to change. I am informed that figures of the kind sought by the Deputy in relation to this year are not readily available.
