149 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Finance if the back garden of the Garda station in Ballyragget, County Kilkenny is being offered for sale; if so, the procedure by which interested parties can tender; if he will consider the sale of the garden to the adjoining property owners in view of the location of the garden and its relationship with neighbouring properties. Minister of State at the Department of Finance (Mr. Cullen):

The garden at the rear of Ballyragget Garda station is not for sale as it is required as a site for a new Garda station. The Commissioners of Public Works are discussing a possible joint development with the local authority.
