286 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the current position regarding the redeployment of traffic wardens from his Department to Dublin Corporation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14176/00]
My Department is engaged in negotiations under the auspices of the Labour Relations Commission with the two unions representing traffic wardens. A conciliation conference was held at the Labour Relations Commission on 17 May 2000 and a further conference has been fixed for 15 June 2000.
