116 Mr. D. Carey asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reference number of each REPs application and the date of the imposition of a 50% penalty for over/under-declaration of land in Counties Galway and Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14638/00]

To date three REPS participants in County Galway have been notified, in March, April and May of this year of my Department's intention to impose a penalty for over/under declaration of land and afforded the opportunity to appeal.

To date no penalties of this nature have been notified to REPS participants in Mayo.
