Vol. 520 No. 1

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

259 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the reason the information requested in Parliamentary Question No. 545 of 26 January 2000 has not been made available; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14984/00]

I understand that the Deputy has been furnished in the last few days with copies of the lists of: water and sewerage schemes identified by Kerry County Council in response to my Department's request to each local authority to undertake a fresh assessment of the needs for capital works in its area and to prepare a prioritised list of projects based on the assessment. This assessment is the council's most up to date and complete statement of its current water and sewerage infrastructure proposals; roads projects submitted by Kerry County Council for funding this year under the specific improvements grants scheme for non-national roads.

I wish to apologise for the delay in sending this material to the Deputy, which was due to an oversight in my Department.
