I am informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of Garda personnel to an individual area, that it is envisaged that a garda will be appointed to the station referred to in the question in the near future.

Question:350 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason there is no garda on a full time basis located at a location (details supplied) in County Limerick. [15167/00]
I am informed by the Garda authorities, who are responsible for the detailed allocation of personnel to an individual area, that the personnel strength of the station referred to in the question was one garda on 30 April 2000. I am also informed that the strength has now increased to two gardaí, following the transfer of a member to the station on 18 May 2000.

Question:351 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the overall divisional strength for the Garda divisions of Askeaton, Newcastle West and Bruff; the Garda stations covered by each of these divisional headquarters; the complement of gardaí for each of these stations; the staffing for these divisional Garda areas on 1 May 1998, 1 May 1999 and 1 May 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The detailed allocation of Garda personnel to individual areas is a matter for the Garda authorities who have informed me that the personnel strength, all ranks, of Askea ton, Bruff and Newcastle West Garda districts on 1 May 1998, 1 May 1999 and 1 May 2000 is as follows:
