348 Mr. U. Burke asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason, further to Parliamentary Question No. 301 of 23 May 2000, the details requested were not supplied as the solicitors named the last paragraph of his reply do not have the information referred to; and if he will supply the details as set out in the original request. I am informed by the Garda authorities that the position as set out in my reply to Question No. 301 of 23 May 2000 is correct.
To clarify matters, I should state that the details required by the Deputy from the time the horses were handed over to the local authority, i.e. Galway County Council, are matters for that authority to address. I further understand from the Garda authorities that the superintendent for Gort provided details of the Garda actions in respect of the horses in question.
