Vol. 520 No. 1

Written Answers. - Psychological Service.

Brian O'Shea

Question:

379 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 440 of 11 April 2000, any progress has been made in relation to the appointment of an educational psychologist to Waterford. [15064/00]

My Department has received notification from the Civil Service Commission of the selection of a number of successful candidates for appointment as educational psychologists in the National Educational Psychological Service Agency.

It is expected that offers of appointment will be made to these candidates in the near future. Following these appointments it is intended to assign an educational psychologist to work in primary schools in Waterford.
