405 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science if an application for funding to provide a school hall at Mullingar Community College, County Westmeath has been received; and the time scale for the provision of this facility. [15282/00]
An application has been received for the provision of a physical education hall at Mullingar Community College. The development of standard plans for PE halls is currently at an advanced stage in the building unit of my Department. Once finalised, it is intended to use these standard plans to expedite the architectural planning process in respect of individual PE hall projects. The application for a PE hall at Mullingar Community College will be progressed in this manner.
406 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Education and Science the up-to-date situation concerning the provision of a new Community College at Castlepollard, County Westmeath to replace the existing Coláiste Cionn Torc. [15283/00]
County Westmeath Vocational Education Committee made application for planning permission in respect of the proposed site for the new school in Castlepollard.
A response is awaited from the planning section of Westmeath County Council before the project can proceed further.
